Dr. Yane Ansanay is the first Papuan woman to receive a Doctorate in Applied Physics. Besides that, Dr. Yane Ansanay is an expert in New and Renewable Energy, Bioprocesses, Environmental Geophysics and Soil Physics. Dr. Yane is currently actively working as a lecturer at Cendrawasih University, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and helping PLI educate American SUP students, especially in the fields of Science and Mathematics. Through his expertise, Dr. Yane Ansanay also assisted the Maga Education Papua Foundation in the preparation process for the establishment of the International University of Papua campus.

Apart from having an active career as an educational staff (lecturer), Dr. Yane Ansanay founded the Inspiring Young Papua Foundation (PMI) and the Papua Integrated Science and Technology Foundation. Dr. Yane Ansanay has also worked as a companion for the Dusun Papua Children's Foundation, and has published several articles while assisting the Center for Women/Gender Studies at Cendrawasih University.
