Samuel Tabuni is the founder of the Papua Education Maga Foundation (MEP) and the Papua Language Institute (PLI), who also serves as its main Director. He earned his Bachelor of Economics (SE) degree from Pelita Bangsa University (UPB) Bekasi in (2010); His strong desire to learn even encouraged him to improve his skills in the field of aviation from the Lombok Institute of Flight Technology (LIFT) in Lombok (2012); He then continued his studies for the Master's program (M.Sc) in the field of Cultural Anthropology at Cenderawasih University (2020). Samuel Tabuni has also completed his Master's program specializing in Jewish Education (MAJEd) at the Melton Center - Hebrew University Jerusalem, Israel.
Apart from formal education, Samuel Tabuni has participated in various informal education programs such as Leadership Training and Jungle and Sea Survival by the Indonesian Air Force in Mataram Lombok (2012); National Political Leadership of LEMHANNAS in Jakarta (2014); Young South Asian Leadership Initiative Program (YSEALI) intensively organized by the American Embassy in Jakarta for 4 months, in the legislative process and governance program in Washington DC and City of Salisbury - North Carolina, USA (2017);
Following are some of his experiences in his work and community service; Advisor to the Indigenous Peoples' Institution (LMA) of the Nduga Tribe since (2009 - present); Chairman of the Regional Executive Board (DPD) of the Democratic National Party (2010-2019); Secretary of the Inter-ethnic War Reconciliation Team in Nduga Regency (2013-2014); Candidate for Regent of Nduga Regency (2017); International education networking trips to France, Cameroon, Kenya, USA, England, Australia, Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea (PNG) in 2017; Chairman of the Java and Bali Alumni Intellectual Community (KAWAN JABA) (2018 - present); head of the DPD Education Development Division of the Indonesian Christian Intelligence Association (PIKI) since (2018-present); Liaison Officer of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Presidential Instruction Program No 9 of 2017 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare Development in Papua and West Papua Provinces (2018-2019); Consultant for the United Nations Agency for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for the Papua and West Papua regions (2018); Candidates for members of the People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) in 2019; Co-Founder and CCO TKBEL (technology platform and application supporting education services (2019-present); Member of the Joint Fact Finding Team (TGPF) formed by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia to investigate the murder case of Pastor Yeremia Zanambani in Intan Jaya, Papua Province ( 2020).
