Demmy Tabuni SS, M.Ed completed his bachelor of literature (SS) at the faculty of Literature and Culture, University of Papua (UNIPA) in Manokwari in 2014. After graduating, he was involved as a teaching assistant at the faculty of Literature and Culture from mid-2014 to 2015. Then he together with some of his colleagues established an English language learning institution called English Teaching Institute (ETI) Papua in 2015. At ETI, he was given the responsibility as a course coordinator and English teacher. In 2016, the man who is familiarly called by the name 'Demta' won a scholarship from the Australian government, namely the Australia Awards Scholarship (AAS) to pursue his master’s degree in Australia. He successfully completed his master in Language Education at Flinders University (2019) in Adelaide, South Australia and returned to Papua in early 2020. Demta then actively teaches and encourages young Papuans to develop their capacity.
